9 yearsI got a call, it came from the US somewhere, and they started asking me about security stuff. Honestly, it was so hard to get what she was saying because she kept repeating things over and over. After a while, i just got annoyed and ended the call.States9 yearsGot a call from a lady with an Indian accent, said she wanted me to take part in some kind of survey. The call seemed to come through the States.US9 yearsSome bloke claiming to be Michael from Microsoft phoned me saying it was about Windows. I just asked him to explain everything. Next thing, he got all annoyed, called me an idiot and just ended the call. Brilliant, just what I needed! Haha!MichaelMicrosoft9 yearsI kept getting loads of calls, they said it was from Microsoft in the US. They’d hang up right away the first time, but then I'd get nonstop calls after that. Proper annoying!MicrosoftUSA9 yearsThis bloke calling had a really strong accent from somewhere east. He rang up saying something was wrong with my computer updates. First off, he claimed he worked for Microsoft, then switched to saying he was with Apple. He kept trying to get me to download all sorts of security programs, but I reckon he was just trying to control my machine. Not sure if my PC got anything dodgy on it or not. Watch out for this kind of thing!MicrosoftApple9 yearsLoads of calls from these lot saying they're with "ask uk". Each time I get them on the phone, I ask them to take me off their call list and stop ringing me. They even keep insisting on asking for me by my husband's last name, which he’s never gone by. I've reported them a few times already, but it feels like nothing changes.AskUK9 yearsGot a call trying to fish for my personal info. Definitely tell others to block numbers like this!9 yearsGot a call from a woman with an Indian accent who wanted me to verify my name. When I tried to find out why she was calling, she said it was for some survey. But as soon as I pressed for details on the survey topic, she just ended the call. Definitely put this number on the block list!9 yearsThe call disconnected the moment it was picked up.9 yearsOn 4th July 2017, I answered a call but it quickly cut out. When I tried ringing back that number, a message said it was no longer in service. I’m really puzzled how they managed to ring me from a number that seems disconnected?9 yearsA woman from India rang me and actually used my name, plus she had my postcode and address as well. I told her I wasn’t interested in chatting and quickly ended the call. It all felt a bit fishy to me.9 yearsGot a call from a polite chap with an Indian accent saying something about "ask U.K." When I asked him where he was ringing from, he just ended the call straight away. Hope it was just someone messing around! Still, makes you wonder, doesn’t it?IndiaU. K9 yearsSpoke rudely to my mum, real disrespectful.9 yearsI’m really over getting calls claiming to be from a “Windows support team.” Most times the number is hidden or says unavailable, so I have no clue who it is, but somehow they always know my name! Earlier today, I got a call from 0018029852112, which clearly was coming from the States. I wasn’t even in when they called and they didn’t leave any voicemail. There’s no way I’ve found to get my number taken off their list. My advice: NEVER pick up calls from numbers you don’t recognise and if you do, say you’ll ring them back - they usually hang up straight away!USA9 yearsA man with an Indian accent called me and knew my name. I asked him which company he was representing, but then he just hung up on me.9 yearsGot a call from some guy with an Indian accent claiming to be from Ask UK. He started asking all kinds of personal questions, but I told him to put them in writing and send them by post. After that, I just ended the call. Never got anything through the post, obviously. Definitely just a sneaky way to steal your info. Stay clear, it’s a total scam!Submit Your Own Report ((859) 823-0484)
