He had a strong Asian accent and you could hear loads of noise from his office in the background. He called me by my name and claimed he was from TalkTalk, saying there was an issue with my router. This wasn’t the first time they’d rung me either; even before the whole TalkTalk hack, they already seemed to know my name. I’m starting to think some of TalkTalk's staff must be leaking our info.

I’ve been getting these quiet calls every day for more than a week now. It’s getting really annoying.

This number 0018457826044 called me sounding like they had an Asian accent, saying they were Thomas Anderson from Talk Talk. They told me there was an issue with my router and asked me to turn on my computer. I told them to wait while I typed in my password. Then they asked me what the password was so I said I’d spell it for them. When I spelt out "getf###ed#", they seemed confused and asked what it meant. I just said "figure it out" and hung up straight away.

Since I left TalkTalk more than a year ago, I've been getting loads of calls from this number and a few others. I reckon it's because someone working at their call centre abroad must have shared or sold my account info. It’s bizarre that these calls only started after I cancelled my TalkTalk account. Really makes you wonder what’s going on behind the scenes.

On the 4th of November, I got a call from 0849, some bloke claiming to be from Talk Talk. He kept going on about issues with the router. I just listened for a bit, then told him we ain’t got a Talk Talk router anymore. Ended the call right there!

Got a call from 0018457826044 today, same old story as usual. I suppose they must manage to trick some folks and make a bit of money now and then. It’s baffling how some people, whatever their age, actually fall for this rubbish. Weird really. After I bought my laptop last year, I was hit with scam calls within days. Does anyone else reckon that somehow your info gets shared on once you’ve bought something or signed up with a company? It’s just a suspicion I have.

This bloke said he was calling from TalkTalk, right? I messaged him a bit and then asked what would actually happen if I gave him control of my computer. He goes “It’ll break and just go boom!” and then he just cut me off. Proper dodgy, that one.

Got a call from someone with a strong Asian accent saying I had issues with my router, claiming to be from TalkTalk. Obviously, it was total nonsense. I wouldn’t bother chatting with them at all. Honestly, TalkTalk should put a stop to these calls because it’s getting worse and their customers are the ones suffering. Wouldn't even trust any genuine TalkTalk call until they do something about it.

On the 31st of October 2015, I got a call from 0018457826044. There was a lot of background noise like a busy office, and a bloke with an Asian accent said he was from TalkTalk, mentioning an issue with my router. I asked him to verify himself by asking my security questions. Then he handed me over to someone else claiming to be a supervisor. I requested the security questions again, but he told me to grab pen and paper because he’d give me the account number instead. I ended up hanging up straight away. It was obviously a scam! I’ll be contacting TalkTalk to report this.

This isn't Talk Talk at all. A guy with an Asian accent kept calling me, trying to get me to let him change stuff on my computer remotely. I've told him off each time. This is the fourth time he's phoned within just a couple of days.

Got a call from this number, claimed to be TalkTalk at first. I sharply asked what they were after, and then they just ended the call. Definitely not TalkTalk.

Got a call from this number again, same sort of story you probably know by now. My wife picked up and quickly passed it over to me saying "it's that scammer, again." Just as I put the phone to my ear, the line went dead. We've been plagued by this caller for a while, switching numbers every time. We've reported everything to TalkTalk, but honestly, I’m not impressed with how little they seem to be doing to catch these scammers. I’m thinking the next move is to get Action Fraud involved here with the police.

Got a call from someone claiming there was an issue with my router. He asked me to turn on my computer, but I told him I didn’t even own one. Then he asked what device I was using, and when I told him that’s not his concern, he just snapped at me and said “go to hell!” Proper rude!

Got a ring from 0018457826044 around 2:57pm today. Some guy with an Asian accent said his name was James and said he was calling from Talk Talk's tech support. Claimed there was a problem with my computer sending suspicious signals to my router and said he could fix it. I calmly mentioned I was recording the conversation to report him to the UK's Computer Fraud Unit. He swore at me twice and then just ended the call. Pretty sure he wasn’t actually with Talk Talk.

So, I just got a call from someone claiming to be from “Talk Talk”, saying there was an issue with my computer. The bloke sounded like he had an Indian accent and said his name was Daniel. I asked him what the charge would be, but I knew straight away it was dodgy. Told him off and told him not to bother calling me again. The funny thing is, I don’t even own a computer, only an iPad! Total scammers.

I got a phone call claiming to be from TalkTalk, telling me to switch on my PC. I acted like I was going along with it for a bit, but then I asked for some proof about their identity. Weirdly, they already had the account holder’s name, our home address, and even the account number. Once they saw I wasn’t falling for it, they just ended the call. Pretty suspicious if you ask me.

Got a call from a guy who sounded South Asian, claiming to be from Talk Talk. He told me my internet was acting up, but I left Talk Talk ages ago. He wanted me to connect my computer with him, which I refused. When I questioned him, he got rude and just cut the call. Heard on the news last week that Talk Talk had a data breach, so I’m worried about all my info and loads of others’ ending up in the wrong hands. Definitely something they should sort out before criminals get hold of it.

We received the same call, and the person on the other end claimed to be Daniel. When we mentioned that it was just an automated line from our provider, they wanted to know when we might be inebriated. What a bunch of muppets!
