So, someone rang me up with a really thick Indian accent, claiming he was Peter from BT’s tech team. He wanted to check on my internet, but I told him the person who uses it wasn’t around, and then he just ended the call. Actually, I’m not 100% sure he said his name was Peter - maybe he was just saying “BT,” but honestly, the accent made it hard to catch!

i got a call from a guy with a foreign sounding accent, maybe indian, claiming to be from bt support. he said someone might be trying to hack into my online account. i didn’t buy it and ended the call. then he rang back asking why i’d hung up. i told him i was fed up of people trying to trick me into handing over personal details. he told me to verify him by calling 020 3290 522 and ask for paul miller. obviously, i haven’t bothered!

Some guy called with a weird accent saying he was from BT and that my internet router had some big security issues. He offered me a new number to sort it out and said he’d guide me through the process. I told him I wasn’t sure what he meant and I’d just ring BT myself, then I hung up. Can we get these calls stopped or something? 30/3/17

Got a call from +1 845 353 6922, some bloke with an accent claiming to be from BT Openreach. Told him I'm not interested and just hung up straight away.
