7 yearsI got a weird call from some automated British lady claiming it was an urgent matter from Visa Secure about a dodgy £600 charge on my card. I hit 1 to respond and ended up chatting with a bloke who answered like it was BT Home Hub or something, clearly mixed up his scams! When I told him I wasn’t falling for it and to stop ringing me, he started shouting “No, no, speak to me or you’re gonna lose cash!” So, I just hung up and blocked the number straight away.Visa SecureBT7 yearsToday I got a couple of calls about some £600 payment going overseas, both saying they were from Visa Secure. When I checked the numbers with '1471', they showed two different ones. These numbers come from a phone provider, so surely that provider must take responsibility if any scams happen. There doesn’t seem to be any system where these numbers get reported to a UK telecom regulator who could track them down and block them within a day.
