Bloody scoundrels! They rang me up saying there was a legal claim against me and to hit 1 to chat with my 'Case Manager'. Total nonsense, obviously spam, but these dodgy muppets target old folks who might not know any better. Honestly, can’t they just disappear somewhere and leave us alone?

Today I got a call from this number for the first time. I ignored it cause it seemed dodgy right away. Later, they left a voicemail from a woman speaking with an American accent, saying I was being sued. Complete rubbish, clearly a scam. This kind of thing could really stress people out. I do my tax returns online and this number got me a bit worried at first. Decided to look it up before calling though. This is just terrible and seriously needs to be put an end to. I’m curious what would happen if someone actually rang it - probably ends up being a really expensive premium line.

Like many others have said here, it was definitely a scam call. A robotic voice claimed HMRC had filed a lawsuit against me, but didn’t mention anyone’s name even though four people live in our house. The message told me to press 1 or call a different number. I couldn’t hear the full number clearly, but it started with 07537182 followed by some digits I missed. When I checked with 1471, the number came up as 0018001544544. Seriously, this number needs to be blocked! It really freaked me out before I had a chance to check it, and I don’t want anyone else to fall for this dodgy call.

Got a call from some number 0018001544544 saying it was from Hmrc about a lawsuit, but they rang my boss on his 07 number. The caller didn’t even speak proper English. From what I know, Hmrc only sends letters, they don't randomly call like that. Best thing to do if you're unsure is to get in touch with Hmrc yourself. My accountant handles all my dealings with them, so no way there’s any lawsuit. Honestly, it's just a total scam, don’t fall for it!

I get calls like this so often, at least five times every day. They’re mostly scams, like those annoying insurance ones. Best to just hang up and not bother with them.

Got a robo call from this number earlier today... sounded like an American voice and said they were from HMRC. They told me to ring a different number. Naturally, I ignored it since HMRC never calls and this was clearly a US number. I've blocked it now. The 001 code gave it away straight away. Planning to report it to HMRC's fraud team just to be safe.

I had a pretty similar situation to someone else here. When I was out, the phone rang and they left a message on my answerphone. It was a woman speaking with an American accent, telling me to ring 07537182372. Trouble was, I couldn’t catch the start of the message properly because it seemed like the recording started talking before the beep - though it sounded like a robot, not a real person. I didn’t bother calling back since it felt dodgy, but as a senior it did give me a bit of a fright. That’s why I’ve flagged this number as DANGEROUS.

I got a voicemail from a robotic voice telling me I was being sued and to ring a certain number straight away, not to ignore it. It all came on so suddenly, and since I do my own tax returns as self-employed, I was really worried at first. Luckily my daughter phoned me and said it’s a scam, don’t do anything. I then called HMRC myself just to be sure everything was alright. Normally I’d say I’m pretty sensible but this really threw me. Makes me feel sorry for people who might be more easily fooled by it.

Today I got a robo call saying I’m involved in some legal case and gave me a number to ring the case officer on: 07537182372. I ignored it first but then did 1471 to check where it was from and it showed 0018001544544. Seems totally fake, don’t bother calling back.

I think this is the same con I saw on Ripoff Britain not long ago. I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number on my phone but really, it should be taken down completely. Knowing how these things usually go, they’ll probably just switch to another number anyway.

Today our eldest, who has Autism, picked up the phone and the person on the other end kept shouting about suing us. It really upset him. Once we got home, we had to spend a while helping him calm down. We then tried calling the company back but only got a message saying the call couldn’t continue. Honestly, this number has got to be blocked right away.

Honestly, this number should be blocked immediately to keep vulnerable folks, especially the elderly, safe from these sorts of scams!

I get loads of calls from them trying to reach different folks. If there was an actual lawsuit on the go, surely they’d have sent proper paperwork through the post instead of just ringing up?

My missus picked up the call and some lady with a strong American accent said there was a court order against us and that we had to ring another number for help. Thing is, she talked so quickly my missus couldn’t catch the full number. We’ve ended up blocking the number now. They really should take it down to stop scaring older folks like this.
