10 yearsGot a call this evening from someone claiming they wanted to purchase my dad’s shares in Scottish Power. They even knew the exact number he owns, which I found a bit odd. They were pushing me to sign a contract and send it back by tomorrow. Thankfully, I came across this site just in time. Unfortunately, I did give them my email, so now I’m just waiting to see what kind of emails will come through. Fingers crossed nothing dodgy turns up. xxScottish Power10 yearsReally creepy experience. Got a call from some firm called Stockfield, said they were handling investments. They mentioned specifics about shares I supposedly own in a UK firm and said some unknown buyer wanted to purchase them at a crazy high price. Seemed genuine at first, so I foolishly signed a basic non-disclosure form and emailed it back to Stockfield in the States on 23/11/16. Only after that did things start feeling off, and now I’m convinced it’s all a con. Avoid any contact or dealings with that number or company at all costs.StockfieldStates10 yearsAnyone knows who's been ringing me from this number?10 yearsGot a call that was definitely dodgy, sounded like a total scam.10 yearsGot a call from someone talking about investments I supposedly had. When I asked where she was calling from, she said somewhere in the States. That’s when I just hung up and blocked the number.10 yearsGot a voicemail from some place called CMS Oven Cleaners or something like that. They told me to hit the number 1 on my phone. Sounds dodgy to me, might be one of those expensive return call scams. Stay cautious!CMS10 yearsMy dad, who’s 83, keeps getting calls from some dodgy numbers. He’s not the best with tech stuff and sometimes he answers, thinking it might be someone important. Most times it’s just telemarketers or weird scam calls trying to trick him. It’s really worrying because he’s quite trusting. I wish there was an easier way for him to check who’s actually calling without all the hassle.10 yearsI’ve gotten a few calls before from someone saying they're with Wainscott Consulting from New York. They kept insisting I own shares in a UK firm, and apparently some secret buyer wants to buy them at a really high price. But they’ve never given any real proof or explained how they even know about these shares or why the official share register doesn’t show anything in my name. I don’t have any record of owning these shares at all. The earlier calls came from a UK mobile number, and the Wainscott website has only been up for a short while, like a couple of months tops.Wainscott ConsultingNew YorkUKWainscott10 yearsThey called me asking for details about my shares, but it felt like a scam to me. Definitely wouldn’t trust them with my information.Submit Your Own Report ((777) 886-1675)
