Got a call from someone with an Asian accent claiming to be from BT about an internet issue. I ended the call quickly and hung up straight away. He kept ringing back three times, but I ignored the last couple of calls. Definitely a scam number 0017084813318.

This number rang me once more, with someone pretending to be from BT. I wasn't having any of it and quickly ended the call.

Got a call from some bloke saying he was from BT tech support, claiming there was an issue with my internet and phone line. Told him I wasn’t even a BT customer and that everything was fine. He insisted BT handles all phone lines and wanted to fix the supposed problem. I just told him there was no problem and hung up, knowing this sounded like one of those scams. Hopefully, they don’t bother me again. Even though I’m on the TPS, these calls just keep coming.

Just a few mins ago, I got a call from the same number that rang my wife yesterday. After she got it, she contacted both BT and EE to let them know what was going on. When I spoke to a really polite lady on the phone, I told her straight up we already suspected it was a scam and had reported it already. She was grateful for the heads-up and ended the call nicely.

This one sounded a bit more legit than the usual calls, with a really friendly female voice. Honestly, it’s a bit worrying that some folks might fall for it. I played along for a bit but as soon as I asked her for a phone number to contact, she just ended the call. Don’t trust it.

I was just about to mess with her since I had nothing better to do, but then she started sounding dodgy and hung up on me.

Got a call from someone named Jason Matthew who said he was from British Telecom. He told me my computer had some kind of major security issue and kept asking what type of computer I had. When I asked why he wanted that info, he just repeated there was a serious problem. I then asked for a contact number to ring him back on and he gave me 02032893669. Sounds like a complete scam, probably trying to get into my PC.

Today my partner answered a phone call from this number, and some guy pretended to be from BT. He told us there was a virus on our computer and asked me to go online so he could fix it. We ended up arguing quite a bit before the call got cut off. It’s worrying how easily some people might fall for these sorts of scams.

some bloke rang my 93 year old father in law claiming he was nearby and offered to sort out his computer. Luckily, dad was feeling quite grumpy and told him to push off before slamming the phone down. then that same caller phoned back, moaning that dad was being impolite, so he just cut him off again. this isn’t the first time they’ve rung either - they really should be put to an end.

I got a call from a woman claiming she was with British Telecom, saying there was an issue with my internet. When I insisted everything was fine, she started warning me that folks could see what I was doing online, like shopping and surfing. As soon as I told her I wasn't falling for it, she quickly ended the call.

Someone rang me pretending to be from BT, saying they’d found problems with my line. When I asked for a callback number, they gave me 0800 401 6701. But when I said I’d get back to them in a sec, they just hung up on me.
