I received a call today purporting to be from Microsoft, claiming there was an issue with my computer's licence. The person on the line had an Asian accent and there was a lot of background noise, resembling a bustling call centre. This wasn’t the first time I’ve been approached with various so-called computer problems; they seem to know my name and always insist it’s not a sales pitch. I made it quite clear that I recognised they weren’t affiliated with Microsoft and requested to be removed from their list. They promptly disconnected.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Microsoft about a licence issue on my PC. The person had an Asian accent, and you could hear loads of noise like a busy call centre in the background. I’ve had a few calls like this before, all about different computer problems. They even knew my name and kept saying it wasn’t a sales call. I told them right away I wasn’t fooled and asked them to remove me from their list, then they just ended the call.

Got a call today, 21 Nov around 3.08 pm and all I got was complete silence on the other end. Bit of a hassle really but after checking the comments, seems like just another scam attempt. These sorts of callers are not only scammers but pretty rubbish at their job too. Proper waste of time if you ask me.

They mentioned that they'd remove my name from the database as a registered laptop user, which would effectively render my computers non-functional!
