Got a call from a woman speaking with an Asian accent, claiming some firm was trying to pull off a ridiculous hostile takeover of BT, something about huge profits and tax write-offs? She was pushing me to make a payment towards some kind of indemnity insurance policy. It seemed fishy - either just a one-time fee or a sneaky way to snag my bank info. Definitely didn’t sound legit.
