Had no clue who it could be, none of my mates or family would ring me from the US. Ignored the call and ended up blocking the number.

Received a call from this number, with the caller eager to chat with my other half. I firmly insisted on knowing their identity first before letting the call go through. They promptly disconnected, which was quite the telling sign! Clearly a scam and rather discourteous as well. I hardly ever get any proper calls these days. Haha, it’s just loads of sketchy numbers which makes me question why I even bother with a phone. Honestly, WhatsApp and good ol’ Google do everything I need. Talking to people on the phone feels pretty pointless now lol.

He said his name was Jack but had a strong Asian accent! He wanted me to do 3 or 4 quick questions about my lifestyle, said it would only take about 40 seconds. When I asked him to send me the info first, he just ended the call. This was the 4th time he'd rung me in 3 days.

First time they rang me, I picked up with the +162 code showing, and it was someone, sounded black or asian, asking odd 'lifestyle questions'. I asked how they had my info, then they just dropped the call straight away. Weirdly, my new Android phone wont let me block the number! Maybe it's cos it starts with a '+'. I've had a few calls from them over the last fortnight and just ignore them now. Seems proper dodgy to me.

I don’t pick up calls from numbers I don’t recognise, even if it’s something important they’ll leave a voicemail or try another way to reach you. Just block them, never ring back - could be a trick to make you pay for returning the call. Lately, they’ve started using 0800 numbers or local-looking landlines which make it look like it’s someone familiar. Our number’s ex-directory but somehow they’re still managing to get through, like 7 times! Really appreciate these sites and the option to block calls through our phone and mobile companies. Just block and ignore them.
