Got a voicemail claiming it was HMRC and that I was facing an arrest warrant! They said to hit one or call 08000418108, but I ignored it.

I received a call directed at my elderly father, who's over 80, and it was utterly outrageous. They were raving on about taking legal action and even went as far as to ask if he required a case number for assistance. What a pack of blithering idiots, trying to frighten people! The number that rang through was 0015192540298.

Claimed it was a last call from HMRC, asserting that an arrest warrant had been put out for my name. They urged me to press "1" to chat with my case officer... as if! Press "1" and I’d probably end up getting stung with a pricey call charge, I reckon. I hung up right away but made sure to jot down the number. 0015-192-540298
