I got a call from a bloke with a pretty strong Asian accent earlier, he said he could help me stop all these annoying calls I keep getting. He said he was part of some government project and got my number because I’m signed up with the telephone preference service. Funny thing is, that service hasn’t done much to block the nuisance calls anyway. Then the guy asked for my bank info to supposedly register me and put an end to the calls. Don’t fall for it or hand over your bank details - it’s definitely a scam.

I got a call from a woman with an Asian accent, she said she was from BT Openreach and told me my internet had been dodgy for a couple of weeks. Funny enough, the line was awful and kept dropping out. I told her I couldn’t catch what she was saying because of the bad connection. She kept on mumbling but I eventually ended the call. I had a feeling it was just a scam trying to pull a fast one.

Im gettin these calls all the time now, like on different foreign numbers, at least twice daily! I dont pick up, but seriously, they need to sort this out asap! It’s proper annoying.

On the 28th of April, 2017, I got a call from an Asian lady using this number claiming she was calling from BT. She even gave me a reference number and said my internet was infected with viruses. I told her I’d ring BT myself to verify, and she insisted she really was from BT. But when I asked about my internet speed, she just said it kept fluctuating. After a bit of back and forth, she suddenly hung up on me. I later called BT to double-check, and they confirmed it’s a scam; the last time they reached out to me was back in December 2016.

Someone rang me saying they were from BT Open Reach but it was so clear they weren’t. I told them they were a total con and hung up straight away.

This number's definitely dodgy, and people should know about it. Hopefully, someone will check it out and shut it down soon before anyone’s private info gets into the wrong hands.

This number has bugged me with six calls just in the past couple of days! It's just another scam thing, isn't it? I really wish there was a way to put an end to these annoying calls. So many folks probably don’t even know it’s a scam. What’s the point of letting this keep happening?

On 22/04/2017, a bloke with a foreign accent rang me claiming to be from BT about my internet. I told him I wasn’t a BT customer and he just ended the call straight away!

Got a call from someone claiming to be from BT Openreach, saying my computer was at risk from some nasty virus. They couldn’t provide any real account details except for my name and address, which anyone can easily find online. Definitely a scam, watch out!

Got a call today from 001518866254, claiming to be with BT Openreach. Said they could fix my internet issues, but I’ve got no problems at all. When I wouldn’t go along with it, they started shouting. Definitely a scam.

Today, I got a call from a number claiming to be BT Openreach, offering to boost my broadband speed as if it was some sort of obligation. It all sounded quite convincing and I actually believed them at first. They had me log onto my laptop and follow their directions, which made it seem legit. After about an hour of no real progress, they suddenly said they owed me £204.85 as compensation and asked for my bank details. Only then did I realise something was fishy. I told them to just send a cheque instead - I doubt I'll be cashing that anytime soon!

This morning I got two calls from this number. The caller said he was from BT, wanting to sort out issues with my computer. I just let him ramble on and then hung up! Definitely a scam. Then, like two minutes later, a different number with 00 at the start rang me - probably the same scammer using a new number!

I've had loads of calls looking for someone with the same name, sounds like they're from India!
