On the 24th of September, 2020, around 2 in the afternoon, I had an unexpected call from this number claiming to be from HMRC. They alleged that there was a tax fraud issue linked to my name and insisted that I press 1 to avoid imminent arrest. Curious, I pressed 1, but the line went dead straight away. I then attempted to ring the number back, only to be told by the operator that it wasn’t associated with any account. Quite frankly, I find it hard to believe that I would be involved in any tax fraud whatsoever!
