A woman with a Chinese accent claiming to be from some pension advisory group in the US, said they could help me increase my pension by just answering some questions. I told her it was all rubbish and ended the call straight away.11 yearsThis number kept calling me - first a woman, then a bloke - both saying my computer had been flashing errors all morning and trying to get me to give them remote access. I told them I was using a work laptop and the guy wasn’t happy at all, swearing like mad. Then, just two minutes later, he rings back again and has another go. Proper annoyance!11 yearsi reckon it was a woman on the phone. her voice was really squeaky and she talked super fast. from what little I caught, she was asking for my password to fix my toshiba. i told her straight away that the cops had already recorded and tracked the call, then just hung up. fingers crossed it gave her a fright!Toshiba11 yearsgot another call today saying there’s some problem with my computer. these scam calls are so annoying and i really think they should be reported to ofcom as “nuisance calls” cause otherwise they just keep going. since they come from overseas they might not be covered by our laws, but if enough people keep complaining to ofcom maybe something will happen. they’re probably operating somewhere in europe so hopefully we can get this stopped soon!OfcomUKEU11 yearsGot a call from one of those so-called Windows support centres trying to convince me to let them into my laptop to grab my passwords. I played along just to mess with them, then told them the only Windows laptop I own belongs to my work and I've got a whole IT department at my back that I'd ring up.
