I reckon the 001 code is definitely American, so I don't think TPS protects you from these sorts of calls. The bloke claimed he was with some accident investigation team, but I just ended the call right there without saying a word. Total scammers, watch out!

Got a call earlier today but no message was left.

I usually ignore calls from numbers I don’t know. Honestly, I reckon all phone providers ought to give free caller ID as standard. Most folks now have phones with a screen showing who’s ringing, so it’s a bit daft if they don’t use it.

A woman called Jenny got in touch claiming I’d been in an accident in the last three years - which is totally untrue. The number she called from is ex-directory and isn’t available anywhere publicly. She said she was from the MIB, but that can't be right since they need your permission or some kind of agreement to call about an uninsured driver incident. Honestly, I wanted to be rude and ask her what her rates were for wasting my time - I treat calls like this with zero patience. This is the second time in three days I’ve had this kind of call. It’s clear my number’s been leaked somewhere - is BT to blame?

Got a call saying there'd been an accident involving someone at my place and that I could get some kind of compensation! These scammers need to be shut down for good.

Around half past twelve today, this number gave me a ring. As soon as my answerphone kicked in, the caller hung up without leaving anything. I've signed up with the TPS, so calls like this really shouldn't be happening. Someone really ought to look into who's behind this and take the right action.

They’ve rang me loads of times, and each time I just hung up. They somehow knew my name and even claimed to know which bank I use. Proper sketchy!

So this number rang me earlier and the guy on the phone said he was Max Smith. I couldn’t help but notice his really strong Indian accent and asked him where he got the name from. Then I asked what company he was with and after a bit of stammering he said something like Transfer Customers Private Ltd. When I then asked for their official address, the line just went dead on me! Bit suspicious if you ask me.

Some bloke rang me asking if I’d been in an accident over the past three years. I told him to take me off their list, but he kept pushing for my email and said he’d send stuff by post too. When I mentioned I was registered with the TPS, he claimed they were calling from a ‘TPS-approved’ number. Bit suspicious if you ask me.

Got a call from a number listed with TPS, the usual accident scam. The caller claimed to be from "JB Law GRH," supposedly based in Liverpool, but had this odd Malaysian accent. I played along and said I’d been in an accident. When she tried jotting things down, I told her I was actually driving while talking to a scammer. Took her a moment to catch on, so I’m guessing she wasn’t the sharpest tool in the shed.

Got a call from Road Traffic Management about any crashes I'd had in the last three years. When I told them the only accident I had was back in 1968, they just ended the call straight away.
