I got a call from someone claiming my internet was being used to hack computers and download dodgy files, blaming the current BT issues. They then said they needed to install some software. I told them it was them acting illegally and just ended the call. Honestly, if anyone fell for it, it could have been really risky.

Utterly absurd phone call pretending to be from some "technical support" team, aiming to take control of my computer.

Bloody annoying wankers ringing me up once more. If they had anything worthwhile to do, maybe they should just sign up at a uni and learn some proper computer skills. Honestly, they ain’t got a clue what they’re doing with their lives.

Over the past few days, I've received four calls from this particular number. I've decided to engage the callers in conversation, all the while ensuring they can't gain any entry into my computer system! When I inquired about their incessant calls, one of them claimed it was my first time being contacted, suggesting the prior calls were from hackers instead! This morning, a woman actually called me mad, which I suppose indicates I'm hitting the mark, yet my patience is wearing thin. I can only hope that by keeping them on the line, they have less opportunity to reach someone who might fall for the ruse!

Got a call from someone claiming to be from BT telling me my broadband had some dodgy activity. Seemed fishy to me, so I just ended the call straight away.

Got a weird call that was completely silent, sounded like it was from some robot or automatic thing.

I got a call from a woman claiming she was with BT, saying that other people were using my internet account. She asked if I was at my computer, and when I said no, she told me to check it anyway. I told her I didn't trust the call and then she just suddenly ended it. The number has called back since but hasn't left a voicemail or anything.

Bloody annoying so-called agent claiming to be from TalkTalk. I told her I’m with BT, then she “transfers” me only for the exact same woman to pick up again. She goes on about some “malicious activity” on my internet. Then asks if I’m sat at my PC. I told her I’m doing a Master’s in Computer Systems Security at uni. Honestly, they’d benefit more by joining my course. Crickets on the other end. I just ended the call.

Received a call from this number claiming to be associated with BT regarding my internal connection. The caller asked for my name, which struck me as odd since if they were genuinely from BT, they would already know who the account holder is. I informed the woman (Sharlene) that I had doubts about her legitimacy and hung up. I'm pretty sure they reached out last week too, but when I attempted to engage, they refused to talk to me simply because I’m not the account holder; I'm just the wife! Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

That number has been calling me incessantly, it's obviously some sort of spam. I'm really trying hard to resist the temptation to answer, and maybe, just maybe, if I ignore them long enough, they'll finally give up and stop ringing me so much.
