I got a call today at about 2.15pm, and it was one of those recorded things about a Visa charge of £600 or something like that. Then, I had exactly the same call again later at 4.15pm, but this time it was from the number 001707895779. So annoying!

I didn’t pick up, and they didn’t bother to leave any voicemail.

My mum got a call saying £600 was removed from her bank account. They told her to press 1 to return the call, but she ended up ringing me back.

Like what others have mentioned, the caller claimed there was a £600 charge on a Visa card and told me to press 1. I knew right away it was a scam since I don’t even have a Visa card.
