Over the past couple of days, I’ve had a pair of calls claiming there was an issue with my internet, supposedly from BT. The voices sounded like they came from a crowded call centre, maybe with an Asian accent. I ended both calls pretty quickly before they could say much.

Just like a few others mentioned, the BT technician told me my internet was hacked or something.

Got a call from a guy with an Indian accent claiming he was from BT. I just told him to forget it and ended the call since I’m not with BT anymore.

Got a call from a guy who sounded Indian, saying my internet wasn’t secure or private. Bit suspicious if you ask me.

Just got hit with another scam call within the hour. This kind of thing is definitely getting out of hand. Didn’t pick up because the number was unfamiliar, but I’m guessing it was related to that earlier internet scam call I got.

Got a call from some guy claiming to be Paul saying he was from BT, said my internet was hacked or something. He gave me a number starting with 0800 and when I checked by dialling 1471, it wasn’t a BT number at all. Pretty sure it was just another scammer from India. I blocked the number straight away and told him he was trying to scam me before hanging up.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with BT, but it definitely sounded like a scam. They were pushing hard and it didn’t feel right at all. Be careful if you get a similar call!
