This morning, on 13th April 2018, I got a call from a number saying something about TalkTalk. Didn't trust it at all, so I just ended the call. Definitely sounds like another one of those scams!

This number just rang me as well, and trust me, I never hit 1 or 2 at any point. I get loads of calls pretending to be from BT, but you'd figure BT could actually do something about it since they know what’s going on.

This number tried the exact same thing on me, but mentioned TalkTalk instead of BT. Honestly, I’d say just don’t pick up, and definitely don’t push any buttons if you do get through. The recorded stuff is just nonsense. Another one added to my block list for sure!

Got a call claiming to be from BT tech support saying my internet would be cut off today because someone in California was messing with my connection. The automated message, in a strong American accent, told me to press 1 for BT or 2 for other providers. It felt dodgy, so I just ended the call. I'm quite concerned some folks might actually press those buttons and end up with a massive phone bill if it's a premium rate number.

About 40 minutes back, I got a call and let it go to voicemail. Pretty sure it’s one of those dodgy scams.

I got a phone call earlier saying my internet would be cut off by the end of today, and to press 1 if I wanted to speak to BT. This is like the third time in a few weeks they’ve tried this. I blocked the number before but now they just call from another one. Don’t press 1 or any buttons, they’ll say it’s for other internet providers too - it’s all just a scam.

Totally with the previous comment on this one. Thankfully, my kids have already explained what’s safe and what isn’t, like just hanging up straight away!
