Got a voicemail from 0041348247856, some guy talkin’ in a thick southern US accent. He said something like “2222 will be set up today, it’s Friday the 13th.” Then he said something about pressing 1 for 229 something, or 2 for talktalk, but honestly I couldn’t catch what those two words were even after replaying it a couple of times. Definitely sounds dodgy to me - deleted it straight away and didn’t press any buttons!

Glad I could find out what the call was about. The recorded message had such a thick southern US twang that I couldn't make a word of it. From now on, I just ignore any unfamiliar numbers and let the answerphone pick up. If it turns out to be some kind of scam or phishing attempt, I use BT Call Protect to automatically send any calls from that number straight to a junk folder.

Got a robo call today claiming my BT internet was about to be disconnected. The automated voice asked me to press 1 if I was a BT customer or 2 for another provider. Was a total scam, sounded pretty legit but they were fishing for my details to ring back later. Best to just hang up straight away!

Got a call this afternoon (13/04/2018 about 1:54pm) from some automated system telling me my phone line might be hacked. It asked me to press 1 for BT help or 2 for a different company. Definitely a scam, best to just hang up and forget about it.

got a call earlier today, and as soon as I said “morning” there was silence, then a woman’s voice said “bye”. really makes me think it’s some kind of scam or phishing attempt. seriously, shouldn’t the phone companies or the government already have a plan to put an end to these irritating calls? they happen way too often!
