Got a ring earlier from this number, came up as "Soulcraft" Nebraska on my screen. I don’t have any connection with them so just let it go to voicemail. SCAM alert! Why would PayPal send a code and then ask you for it on the exact same phone? Basically, someone’s trying to get into your account but gets stopped by the OTP. Then a bot rings your number asking for that very code. If you give it to them, they can just use it like they own your phone and get in. Stay safe!

PAYPAL - When you sign in, they send an automated code to your phone and you have to enter the 4 digits when the call prompts you. Only then can you access your account. It’s pretty secure. But if you weren’t the one trying to sign in, it’s probably a good idea to check if someone else is trying to get in using your details, whether you know about it or not.

Had this extra layer of PayPal security while shopping on eBay. When I logged into PayPal, it asked if I wanted a call or a text for verification. I picked call. Are some people clueless? This is a Paypal number used when they ask you to enter a code from your Paypal account during online sign in. It’s all part of their two-step security process. When I log in to Paypal, it gives me a 4 digit code, then asks if I want it sent by text or call to enter those digits and get access to my account. You’ve got your preset phone numbers saved in your profile, then pick one to receive the code. IT’S THAT EASY. I can’t believe how much nonsense I’ve seen about this.

Said it was the BT call blocking service. Got a really long recorded message that stopped me from making any calls out for nearly 20 minutes. Checked with BT and they told me it’s a total SCAM. BT said this number has tried ringing me about 6 to 10 times daily over the last 4 days. This caller is really sketchy and needs to be shut down. If you get a call like this, use 1471 to check the number, write it down and report it to BT. They want to keep track of how many folks are being targeted by this.

Got a call after a text from Paypal, but they just left a voicemail. Seems dodgy since I wasn't even using Paypal then. Looks like a scam to me. Better to just ignore it, feels a bit fishy.

I was buying some pellets for my air rifle on Ebay and suddenly a Paypal verification popped up asking me to confirm it was me. Then I saw a charge of £2.50 from this number, which I've never actually called.

I didnt pick up but got a couple of unexpected calls right after I received two texts with a PayPal authorisation code that I never requested. The phone showed the call was from Nebraska. I’ve sent the texts on to PayPal’s security folks.

Got a couple of messages on my voicemail last night asking me to give my Paypal pin. Very suspicious!

In the middle of the night, I got 4 texts asking me to verify my PIN within ten minutes. After that, they called me twice, but I just didn’t pick up.
