Some bloke said he was ringing from Ipsos Mori. I asked him how I could check if that was true, but he just offered me some info that I couldn't really verify. Then he told me I didn't have to answer anything if I didn’t want to, so I said go ahead. Suddenly he ended the call, saying he needed to speak with his boss.

Total scam. Picked up the phone and some bloke claimed he was from the US, then immediately wanted my personal info. Blocked straight away and reported it. Hope this saves others the hassle.

Had a call today from someone claiming to be from my uni doing a survey, but the number showed as Edinburgh and I’m based in Birmingham, so it seemed off. When I said I was busy and asked them to call back later, they kept pushing to keep me talking. Felt a bit weird to be honest.

Some guy said he was from Ipsos doing a survey that’d take 20 minutes and you’d get an Amazon voucher after. He sounded like he was Indian but was trying to fake an American accent. I just hung up, felt really dodgy.
