Some bloke with an Indian accent rang up asking for whoever owns the property. He said he was calling about a government grant for getting a new boiler. I told him I don’t need one, and he just hung up on me straight away...

I saw the number started with 00 which I think means it’s from the US. It rang me like four times today. Initially, I assumed it was from nearby until I spotted the extra zero at the start. I picked up the first call and there was a man with an Indian accent asking if he could talk to the owner. I told him no and then he wanted to know if I was family, that’s when I just ended the call. Since then, the same number has called me three more times but I didn’t pick up any of those calls.

I picked up the call, but there was utter silence on the other end. I had a hunch it was a scam and chose not to engage.

I encountered a rather dodgy situation with what seemed to be individuals posing as BT representatives. They claimed there was an issue with my broadband and asked me to power up my computer for them to sort it out. However, upon reaching out to BT directly, they assured me that they would never approach customers in such a manner. It’s rather concerning how these impersonators operate!

Got a call from this number today about a boiler even though I already asked them not to call me anymore. They'd also rung last night. Proper annoying!

Got a call today from someone with an Indian accent asking if I owned the house. I said no, then they asked if I was a relative, and as I was saying no again, they quickly denied it was a cold call but ended the call anyway. I always tell cold callers no through phone, fax or email - hope everyone does the same so maybe someday we get a break from them. They bother me a few times every week. Lately, they've been going on about boilers or something like that.

I got a call last evening from a guy with an Indian accent who kept asking for the homeowner. When I asked what it was about, he dodged the question and instead asked about my boiler. I said it clearly sounded like a cold call, but he insisted he wasn’t trying to sell me anything. I told him that’s exactly what it seemed like, then he mumbled some excuse and just hung up on me.
