Watch out, got a call from someone pretending to be HMRC. They used this number before: 0161 850 8612, so just be careful if you see it pop up.

Had a rather suspicious call purporting to be from BT, claiming that my computer had been breached. It definitely reeked of a scam. The chap on the line seemed genuinely offended when I labeled him a scammer and promptly disconnected. Quite the bizarre encounter!

Got a call saying I owed back taxes and that legal action would be taken if I didn’t get in touch. They told me to press 2 to speak to the caseworker. Sounds dodgy to me. Has anyone else had this? Any info would be great. Cheers.

I got a call from someone claiming to be with British Telecom who said they had important steps to stop hackers from putting malware on my computer or stealing my information. They told me to type 'inf-junks' into my browser's file search and hit enter. I didn’t follow through at all. I started asking them some questions and suddenly they hung up on me!

Honestly, they came across as really impolite.
