8 yearsI received a call claiming to be from TPS, requesting my banking information for some sort of renewal. It's obviously another fraudulent attempt!TPS8 yearsGot a call from a woman with an Indian accent claiming she worked for some sort of telephone... something service. I kept asking her to repeat it, confused, and after several tries she said she was from the TPS. She asked me to verify my name and address, which she already knew. Pretty clear it was a scam, but I played along to see where it was going. Next, she wanted my registration number and promised within 28 days I’d stop getting annoying calls. Yeah, right. I just ended the call.TPS8 yearstoday someone called saying he worked for the national phone service and that starting tomorrow i wouldn’t get any more annoying calls. i thought that was quite good, so i just said thanks and hung up. seems like they've gone by a different name now!8 yearsHad the same thing happen today. My mum got two calls this morning from someone pretending to be with the telephone preference service. They said all the spam calls would stop from the next day but asked for her card details to “process the payment.” Luckily, she wasn’t fooled and just ended the call straight away.Telephone Preference Service8 yearssome guy called me with an indian accent, said he was from the ‘telephone preference management service’ - tryin’ to sound official with that ‘management’ bit. he promised all my annoying calls would stop by tomorrow. then he asked if i was the one paying the bill on my number. i cut him off and told him i was hanging up before he could ask for any money, seemed fishy. i’m already signed up with the real tps anyway.Telephone Preference Management Service8 yearsToday on Friday 9th February 2018 around 4.10pm, I got a call from a guy with an Indian accent saying he was from the TPS. Let's just say, I told him exactly where to go!TPS8 yearsGot a call from a bloke with an Indian accent saying he was from TPS, telling me my subscription had run out at the end of the month and all those pesky sales calls would stop. He recited some personal info that was spot on, but I didn’t give him any go-ahead. Then he tried to put me through to his supervisor, so I just ended the call. Before I could even look it up on this website, he called back straight away. I told him I wasn’t interested and didn’t trust the whole thing, then hung up again. Funny to read here that the next thing they’d try is to get your card details.TPS8 yearsGot a call from someone who sounded asian. I asked where they were and how the weather was there, said something about Hendon, London. I also asked if they liked living there. Then suddenly "buzzzzzzzzzzzzz" and ended. Definitely seemed like some kind of scam going on.HendonLondon8 yearsGot a call from a guy with an Asian accent saying he was from "telephone preference management," telling me I'd stop getting unwanted calls starting tomorrow. But first, he wanted to confirm my name, address, and postcode. He rattled off the details pretty fast and spot on. When I told him I doubted he was really from TPS, he just hung up on me. Not convinced at all.Telephone Preference Management8 yearsGot a call from someone with a strong Indian accent saying my phone preference service had ended. Pretty clear it was a scam.8 yearsI got a call from a woman speaking with an Indian accent saying she was from TPS. Next thing, she started telling me my debit card had run out and needed updating!! Honestly, do they think we're complete mugs or what?TPS8 yearssome woman rang saying she was from the telephone preference service. yeah right. I just hung up and slapped the number straight onto my bt blacklist. I always thought bt were meant to be good at spotting these scam calls and stopping them before they bother us.PreferenceBT8 yearsa call showed up from kanawha, west virginia, ringing my number here in the UK. the woman on the line had an indian accent and claimed to be from the tps. honestly, if they’re gonna pretend, they could at least sound legit, right? what a joke!KanawhaWest VirginiaUKTPS8 yearsI got a call from someone saying they were from the telephone preference service, telling me my ‘contract’ was ending tomorrow. Had a hard time understanding her because of her thick indian(?) accent. When I asked for a contact number, she just said she was from tps headquarters. I mentioned I also had bts callerprotect and then she just disconnected. Seems like it was a scam to me.Telephone Preference ServiceTPSBTCaller Protect8 yearsI picked up but there was no response on the other end.
