Even though we’re on the TPS list, those calls keep coming through. Every time I answer, there’s just silence before they hang up. Sounds like they're probably using an automated dialling system and cutting off the calls because they don't have enough people to pick up.

This number keeps ringing constantly and it’s driving me mad lately. We've been getting so many calls we just let it go to voicemail straight away and then check who it was after. Originally, it was always about boiler repairs, but yesterday someone tried selling me a roof replacement! Then today, it was back to boilers, starting off with “Now that winter’s here”… well, bit odd for May 25th, innit? Definitely the wrong script for this time of year!

Got called three times this morning by a woman with a strong accent, and when I said I couldn’t catch what she was saying, she told me I needed to pay more attention! Told her where to go and she just hung up. Honestly fed up with these calls, it’s about time something proper was done because my first weekend off in six weeks has been completely spoiled by this. On top of that, I also got two calls about solar panels, one from someone who mentioned arthritis in the house, and then this really creepy one from someone pretending to be from a “credit investigation team” which soon turned into “we can help with your past credit and set up an IVA”. Just want all this nonsense to stop now.

Every single day this number rings me up saying it’s about Talk Talk internet. I’ve already spoken to Talk Talk myself, so I’m pretty sure it’s a scam. I've gotten calls from this number like, what, seven times just over the past two days? Some guy with an Indian accent claimed he was from TalkTalk checking on my internet. When I told him I've already spoken to TalkTalk about these calls, he suddenly went quiet. It honestly feels like I'm being targeted or something. For the past month, I've been getting calls every single day from this number. Each time, there's a recorded message telling me I qualify for a new boiler because I supposedly own a home - which is totally not true. I got a call from this number today but didn’t pick up. After it stopped ringing, my phone stayed busy and wouldn’t let me make any calls until I completely switched it off at the power and then turned it back on. My bt8500 handset quietly blocks calls all on its own (no, you don’t have to have a bt landline for this) - anything listed as “no caller ID” or “overseas” gets filtered out unless I’ve saved the number in my contacts first. Since switching to this phone, the annoying calls I used to get a couple of times daily have disappeared completely. It keeps a record of all blocked numbers, and every now and then I go through them and report the dodgy ones.

I've got anonymous call blocking set up on my landline, but these calls still manage to get through using fake caller IDs. One of them left a message about PPI on my answering machine. They said to press 9 if you want them to stop calling - which I'm pretty sure either does the opposite or just does nothing.
