I had a rather amusing exchange with a chap who claimed to be from BT, the British Telecom. Once I pointed out that he was merely spinning a yarn, he promptly ended the call! I suggest having a bit of a giggle with these callers instead of just hanging up. It can be quite entertaining!

Honestly, this so-called 'caller' is proper annoying, to say the least! We get loads of calls daily, but they always hang up as soon as the answerphone picks up. Loads of our older mates have had the same scare, being told their broadband will be cut off. What’s weird is some of these folks don’t even have internet, yet they’re left feeling like they’ve messed up somehow. When are the phone companies gonna sort this out and finally put an end to it?

The number started with 00, so I assumed it was from abroad. But my phone’s set up to block international calls, and this one still got through, so I'm guessing it’s a fake number pretending to be from overseas but actually from the UK. As soon as I picked up, the caller just ended the call - definitely spam.
