If the call's really from the US (which honestly seems pretty doubtful) you can use BT's Call Protect to block all calls coming from abroad. It just appears as a missed call, so I’m not sure if the number’s been faked or not (sometimes BT 1471 shows a different number than what appears on Call Protect). Regardless, spoofed or legit, this number is the one ringing up with annoying cold calls and it's obvious THIS IS A SCAM.

This number starts with Manitoba's area code in Canada, but the digits after it are just 6 numbers. Manitoba stopped using 6 digit numbers back in the 1960s, so this phone number can't be real at all!

Got an automated call claiming to be from BT saying they were about to disconnect my internet. They gave me several choices but I just hung up and called BT myself. Turns out none of those numbers were even BT's. Just a heads up, be careful!

Today I got one of those robocalls telling me my BT broadband was about to be disconnected. They gave me a list of numbers to ring in order to fix it, but I just chose to hang up and not bother with any of them.
