Got a call from 0012120096098 claiming to be BT, saying there's an issue with my internet. I’m not even with BT, but they kept insisting all lines belong to BT. I said I’d get in touch with my provider if there’s a problem and hung up. This is about the sixth time I’ve had calls like this, both on my landline and mobile, all from scammy numbers. Why can’t Enreach just block these fraud calls right away? What’s the point of paying for caller ID when you get nonsense numbers showing up?

Got a call from scammers pretending to be Visa fraud team. They kept bugging my elderly mum non-stop. They were using 07534 and 07703 numbers. Tried to get her to install some remote software called Alpemix so they could get into her PC. I reckon it's the same lot who called about Amazon Prime a few weeks ago.

Got a call from 0012064584335 earlier today around 10:05. Since I’ve been getting loads of calls like this lately, I just ignored it. They ended the call as soon as my voicemail picked up. Proper annoying. Seriously, they should do something to stop these.

Some bloke called me saying my internet was gonna be cut off in 4 hours. When I asked for more info, I pressed 1 and this guy with a weird accent answered. I told him what was wrong and then the call just dropped. I’ve had calls like this loads of times. Pretty sure it’s a scam.

Numbers startin with 0012 are often scam calls in the UK. Mostly from people pretending to be Amazon. They call it 'ScamAmazon' and usually it's about Prime or refund tricks. Dont listen to them, its risky!! If you use YouTube, look up Jim Browning for more info.

Got calls from 0012036533319 and a few other numbers with slightly different endings, rang me like 4 times this morning saying they were Virgin Media Broadband (which I don’t even have with them). On the last call I told them to stop calling, but they kept insisting that “we're the main broadband providers in your area, so.” Yeah, right. Feels like total scammers to me.

I keep receiving these calls, like a couple times a week for ages now. Mostly from Amazon or just dead silence. They usually ring in the morning. I just end the call. Blocking the number is useless since they switch to new ones each time. There really needs to be some global team to catch these people and throw them in jail, no bail, no early release, maybe keep them on an old ship somewhere secret out at sea. Got a voicemail from 0012058665385 claiming I’d just renewed my Amazon Prime subscription and would be billed £79.99. They told me to press 1 or 2 for further options. Sounded like a proper scam to me. Not too long ago, I had an online chat with a bloke named Jatin about some issue logging into my mobile account, so now I’m thinking maybe my number got passed around for dodgy calls. Got a call from 001245 twice on 20th Nov 2020 - first one was some robotic message about Amazon Prime, then later one about dodgy activity on my BT broadband. I just hung up both times.

A bloke with a foreign accent rang me early morning on 19/11/2020 at about 7:30am. He claimed my BT router and internet connection was at risk and about to be hacked. Since I don’t even have a BT router, I quickly twigged it was a con and decided to humour him. At first he sounded thankful, saying if I just logged onto my computer and let him in, he could fix it in five minutes. Then I told him I already knew he was a scammer and was way more clued up on internet security than him. His reply was, and I’m not joking, ‘I hope you die in your sleep tonight you motherf####r’.

Whenever I see a call from some ridiculously long, foreign-sounding number on my caller ID, I just let it ring out. 100% scam in my experience. Today the number was 0012071492473 and, as always, I didn’t pick up. Numbers beginning with 0012 seem to be classic scam calls. Funny enough, these always pop up after I order something from Amazon. Makes me wonder if some dodgy employee is selling customer details for cash. It’s definitely a scam, so best to ignore those calls completely.

My mum, who stays in East Sussex, got one of these calls earlier today (Tuesday, 11 Aug 2020). The person calling was a lot more pushy than these scam types usually are. Mum got really worried by the call. (Luckily she kept calm and asked for a number to call him back on. He wouldn't give her one, and after loads of tries to get her to do what he wanted, he just gave up and hung up. These callers can sound really convincing. Don’t listen to anything they tell you to do.)

I got a call from a number beginning with 0012, with someone pretending to be HMRC. They kept saying they’d found some fraud and threatened to arrest me unless I pressed 1 to fix the problem. 001248362179 Just like many others, I got this automated message saying "Your internet service will be cut off, press 1 to prevent this or 2 if you’re alright with it" with the caller pretending to be from BT. Honestly, I doubt BT would ever ring like that about disconnection. Usually, it’s the support or accounts team that get in touch first, not some dodgy recording. Be careful folks, these scammers are everywhere nowadays, desperate to take your money at any cost... the state of things is really bad.

Got a call from 0120679698 and answered it, just like what others have said, nothing different. Then about an hour and a half later, this other number 001243699451 called me. Got a call from 001245312119 twice today, claiming to be BT and warning my internet would be cut off by end of day! The person on the phone spoke with a really thick Indian accent. I've had loads of calls like this before and my internet's never been disconnected, so I reckon it's just another scam.

I got a call from 00127584830 this morning around 10 on 11/10/2018. This was the third time I'd gotten a message like this one, and guess what? My internet is still up and running... mainly because I don’t even have internet at home! Haha, what a joke. The first two times they called, they told me my internet had been hacked by some foreign countries and threatened to disconnect it unless I pressed 1 to stop them. Pro tip: never ever hit any buttons when calls like this come from numbers you don’t recognise.

Got a call from 0012814436766 earlier, but they never got through. I reckon it's probably some muppet, or maybe their system’s worked out I’m not one to take rubbish calls lightly?

My work phone keeps ringing from these 0012 numbers. The caller says they're with Microsoft and that my account has got some sort of alert or warning. Seems dodgy to me.

Heads up - folks have been getting calls from this number with someone pretending to be from Liberis Ltd, but that’s a total scam. These callers aren’t legit at all. Just be careful if you get a ring from them and don’t share any private info. Stay safe!

Got a call earlier today from the number 001254775993. The guy spoke with an Asian accent, which made it a bit tricky to follow, but he claimed to be from BT and said my broadband was being exploited to steal data from my PC. Since I've never been a BT customer, I knew straight away it was just some scam, probably from that region. Once I mentioned I keep a close eye on my router’s activity, he cut the call immediately. What a surprise, eh? Another scammer trying their luck. Just a heads up to everyone - watch out for these frauds, don’t fall for it!

Got a call from number 001254775993 earlier today. The man had an Asian accent and was hard to make out, claiming to be from BT.
