I got a call about an alleged unauthorised payment of £600 on my credit card, but it was clearly a scam recording. They never asked for any card info or my personal details. I was just in Scotland and promptly gave them a mouthful. That’s how we deal with these scammers here!

Got a call twice on the 27th Oct 2021 to my phone in Victoria from the number 001164948874088. I noticed the number on my mobile and it looked strange, so I didn’t pick up. The ringing stopped after that.

Got a call claiming to be from Amazon, some robot voice telling me to press 1 if I bought something, press 2 if I didnt. The lady on the other end spoke with a thick foreign accent and I couldn’t make out a word. Sounds like a total scam to me.

Didn’t recognise either and there was no voicemail left. Because the calls came from abroad, I chose not to pick up. Would recommend steering clear of any unfamiliar 0011 numbers ringing you.

Got a call from someone saying they were from the telephone preference service but I reckoned it was from abroad. Asked them a few direct questions and they just got really rude, yelling at me. Definitely a scam.

I got a call from 00118091911 saying they were from BT internet. They told an elderly lady she'd be disconnected unless she paid straight away. Seemed a bit dodgy to me.

Got a call on my landline from a recorded voice telling me my internet would be disconnected within 12 hours. They said if I was worried or had questions, I should press 1 to speak to their hotline. Seemed a bit fishy to me.

Today, my phone buzzed with a ring from a 0011 number. Thankfully, it was set to message mode, so I didn't bother answering. As expected, there was no voicemail or text left. Seemed pretty dodgy to me, probably a scam.

I got two calls from 0011345756 about half an hour apart. They never left any voicemail or message though.

Got a call from 001136598900 claiming my PC was being hacked from some other country. The guy said if I turned on my computer, he could put a stop to it. I asked to speak to his manager or anyone based in the UK, and after a while he said he was calling from Birmingham. I questioned him about how he could hack my computer and asked for proof of who he was. When I told him I don’t even own a computer, he just hung up.
