I keep getting calls from 001148600052 but as soon as I pick up, they just hang up. Lately, I've noticed a bunch of calls from 00114 numbers where the callers claim they're from Microsoft saying there's an issue with my PC. Every time I question them, they cut the call straight away. One time, the person even got rude and called me stupid for not sharing my info! Honestly, best to just ignore these calls!

I've been receiving calls from this number for nearly a month now! When I looked it up online, it claims to be associated with Canada Post. However, judging by what others are saying, it sounds like a scam! What a shocker! If they can’t be bothered to leave a voicemail, I assume whatever they're selling isn't worth my time! Cheers, Jay

I answered but no one said a word, then it just ended with some robotic goodbye message.

This number has been ringing me pretty much every day for the last few weeks. When I checked it online, it said it was Canada Post, which sounded legit. But after reading some other comments, looks like it might actually be a scam. Not really shocked, to be honest! If they never leave a voicemail, I just assume it’s nothing urgent and ignore it. Cheers, Jay.

I got a call from a guy with an Indian accent saying if I was tired of getting annoying calls from abroad. He said he was with some Telephone Preference Service and wanted me to download their software to stop those foreign cold calls. I told him the TPS can’t actually do anything about international calls, then the line just went dead.

Some bloke with an Indian accent was on the phone, telling me to switch on my PC because apparently some dodgy files were being downloaded without me knowing. I played along for a bit, but then I got a bit annoyed and raised my voice when I said my computer was fine and I know a thing or two about malware. Ended the call pretty quick, definitely a con.

Got a call from a woman with an Indian accent who said she was from Microsoft Windows. She claimed my mum's computer had alerted them somehow. I told her my mum doesn’t even own a computer and then gently ended the call. Definitely a scam, they're so persistent!

Got a call from a woman with an Indian accent saying she was from Microsoft, saying our computer had an issue. Thing is, we’ve been away and the PC hasn’t been switched on in weeks! She wanted me to power it up but I refused and told her to ring my husband instead. She got really annoyed and snapped, “Do you not get what I’m saying?!” I just told her to bugger off and ended the call.

An Indian guy called me saying he was from Microsoft and that my computer had viruses and was getting hacked. He told me to switch it on, but I just hung up. He called again a few minutes after, sounding proper annoyed and rude, threatening to block my computer or something. Gotta say, thanks for all the comments here - it’s obvious this is a scam.

Got another annoying call from abroad again. I reckon someone at talktalk must’ve leaked my number or something. Whenever I block one number, they just ring me from a different one. I’m not having any of these pathetic w*nkers, so bit by bit I’ve switched all my services to UK-based companies that actually have offices here with proper British staff, supporting jobs here. Since then, no more hassle! If more folks did this, maybe those scammers overseas would either sort themselves out or just disappear. Shame, but oh well.

Got a call from an Indian guy named Charlie, with loads of background noise like a call centre. Received a call on the 25th of August, 2016, from a gentleman of Indian descent purporting to be from Microsoft. He urged me to log onto my computer using something called ‘command access’. I suspect this was an attempt to gain remote access, which is frankly alarming. When I declined to comply, he became rather irritable. Initially, he sounded quite convincing, which could certainly sway anyone who might be easily misled. In short, an absolute scam!
