When I picked up the phone today and asked who was calling, the person on the other end quickly hung up. The number displayed on my phone was 0011447418348198.

The scammers spoke with an Indian accent and informed me that I would be sent to jail for not paying HMRC. Upon expressing my skepticism about the situation, the scammer promptly declared that she would no longer be communicating with me and warned me to brace myself for a court appearance followed by imprisonment.
