Got two calls with no one speaking, both in less than an hour. Quite annoying!

Got a call from the Ministry of Justice saying they’re going to send me a cheque because I overpaid something, but then they suddenly mentioned a £100 fee for what they called a "government mess up" - seriously? At the same time, they had the right house number and even the names of the people living here, which honestly made me a bit uneasy. Sounds a bit dodgy if you ask me!

Got a call from someone saying they were with the Ministry of Justice and wanted to bring a cheque to my place. I told them they sounded like scammers before ending the call.

Someone said they were from BT and warned me my internet would be disconnected. They wanted to know who had been using the service, so I asked why that was any of their business. They kept insisting my connection was about to be cut, so I told them to go ahead if that’s the case. Without missing a beat, they told me to "F#@k off" and then just ended the call!

I told them straight up that I’m on the telephone preference list and asked them not to phone me again. They called twice within a couple of hours, which was annoying. I warned them that if they called again I’d have to report them. The guy then got quite aggressive and kept asking who exactly I was going to report to. I had to end the call because it was getting a bit much. The first call was early morning, around 8am, from the same number but a woman answered, saying they were from Windows Care.

It was a silent ring, nothing said, so I just went ahead and blocked the number.

Somebody rang up pretending to be from a firm named "Energy Savers" and wanted to speak to whoever owned the house. She said they found my number on the "UK Home Owners Database". When I asked which city she was calling from, she had to pause and check before finally saying Manchester, which I'm pretty sure is a lie. They seemed clueless about the Telephone Preference Service as well...

I just ended the call because there was complete silence on the other end. These mobile numbers really annoy me, especially since I’ve got elderly parents who aren’t in the best shape, and I always worry it might be something urgent about them.

Got a call that was completely silent and after a bit they just ended it. I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number now.
