This number keeps ringing me up but mostly there’s just silence when I pick up. Sometimes I catch weird background noises though, but I’ve yet to actually have a proper chat with anyone on the other end.

There was a load of noise from a call centre at the start, then some bloke rang me from this number saying there'd been power outages on my road. I told him nothing was wrong here and when I asked which company he was with, he just ended the call. Also, I've had that BT Openreach scam ring me too - really wish I had a premium line to forward these dodgy calls to!

I received a rather dubious call purportedly from BT Openreach, stating they'd received alerts about my broadband being compromised. They then proceeded to ask for information regarding the devices I use. Following that, they instructed me to input certain commands on my computer, which led me straight to the Windows Event Viewer. They attempted to convince me that the errors displayed there-which are nothing out of the ordinary for Windows-were indicative of someone breaching my broadband router. When I clarified what the logs actually meant, they abruptly ended the call. I managed to engage them for a good twenty minutes, purely to stall them and safeguard others who might not be as tech-savvy and could easily fall prey to their tactics.

Got a call from some guy with an Indian accent pretending to be from BT tech support. He said they were going to cut off my internet within a day due to some dodgy IP. Total con. I just ended the call before he even asked for any money.

Hi there, I've been getting calls from this number about three times within an hour. First, the caller claimed to be from BT, then later said they were with TalkTalk. Finally, someone with what sounded like an Asian accent said they were from the Royal College of Technicians or something along those lines. Very confusing!

Got a call from BT Openreach, some bloke with an Indian accent saying my internet would be cut off in a day because of a dodgy IP address using my connection. I told him I don’t even have internet set up, then he just ended the call.

This morning, someone called claiming to be from BT Openreach saying my internet would be cut off in 24 hours. I reckon it's a scam, so I've reported it to the police. Same call keeps coming through every day!
