I got a call from a woman with an Indian accent, but she wouldn’t tell me where exactly she was calling from. She mentioned my name and even my email address, which felt pretty weird. I ended up just hanging up and blocking the number straight away. The location showed it was from the US, which confused me even more.

Got a missed call from +1 019 today, on 14/11/17 at about 6:36pm. The number showed up as USA on my caller ID. I just let it ring instead of picking up cause I don’t usually take calls from numbers like that. Just a heads up to watch out for these.

Got a call from a woman around 2.30pm on the 21st of September. She claimed there’s something wrong with my phone. I just ended the call straight away.

Got a call like this earlier but thankfully, my BT Call Blocker stopped it straight away. Seriously, best phone choice I've made!

Got a call from this number earlier, tried getting help from TT but no luck. I ended up searching the number online and saw loads of other folks complaining too. Just rang TT once more to tell them about the 001019 and 01183287143 numbers. Honestly, not sure why I’m doing their work and footing the bill at the same time!

Had a call today around lunchtime from a bloke speaking with a sort of Indian accent. Said his name was Brian Adams or something like that and claimed he was ringing from Microsoft. He warned me that some hackers were trying to access my personal info, but I just ended the call straight away.

I got a call from them once, and some robotic woman’s voice just said goodbye. I was with LineOne, Pipex and the Post Office before, but they all got swallowed up by that rubbish firm, TalkTalk. Got rid of them pretty quick.

This morning at 7, I got a ring from an unknown number but didn’t pick up. Later I looked it up online and ended up on this site. Really hope someone sorts out these annoying calls soon.

This morning I got a call from them at 7:30, waking me up! They have called me quite a bit before, actually. Yesterday alone I got loads of calls from the same number.

Got a couple of calls first thing, like 7.30 and again at 8.00. The guy even knew our names and claimed he was from ‘Microsoft Support’ regarding our PC. We just ended the call straight away. Proper annoyed they bothered us so early!

Got a call from 001019, said hello but no reply, so I just ended the call.

Who calls at 7 in the morning on a weekend? And to top it off, it was some dodgy person with a thick accent trying to sell me computer repair stuff I didn’t need. I just ended up hanging up.

I got a call from 001019 around 7:50 this morning, but the line went dead as soon as I picked up.

I used to be with TalkTalk until not too long ago, and ever since, that number has been blowing my phone up with around six calls a day. I ended up blocking it, but then they started ringing me using some foreign code. It's crazy that Ofcom or anyone else is letting these annoying calls keep coming through like this!

Got a bloke ringing me non stop just before 8 in the morning, saying he’s from Microsoft and that my PC’s been hacked. I told him I actually use a Mac, not Microsoft stuff. What freaked me out was that he knew my name! I knew straight away it was a scam, so I didn’t bother playing along. Mainly I just wanted to tell him off for being so damn annoying calling me that early!

Got a call from this number at 7.10 in the morning, they were talking something about Microsoft.

Some woman, sounded like she was from India or somewhere close, tried pulling that "Microsoft" scam on me once more. I said I actually run Linux, not Windows. She goes, "No worries, we can sort that out for you as well!" I just hung up, couldn't be bothered with all that rubbish.

This 001019 number keeps ringing my home phone non stop. I've been leaving messages on my answer phone, but now I'm thinking it's risky since my name is on it. So for now, I won’t pick up until I check who it is through 1471 because I don’t have caller ID. I totally get what others say about this being super annoying. The whole Telephone Preference Service feels useless and does nothing to stop these scammers.

Just noticed a missed call from 001019 on my TalkTalk number. Do you think it might be linked to that hack they had recently? Quite worried about it!

Today I got a call from 001019 showing up on my caller ID, and just the day before, 006690 rang me a couple of times. I’m wondering, how can we block these numbers when the system is currently out of order? These annoying calls only began since TT started having issues. Maybe it's some unhappy Indians making these calls? If they used to work for TT, they might still have a way to get hold of our phone numbers.

Today, on 29/10/15, I got a call from this number. There was silence for nearly half a minute, then a recorded voice said "goodbye." Can't figure out who they are.

I picked up the phone and there was nobody speaking, but I could hear background noise like someone was there.

i got a call from someone claiming to be TalkTalk saying my internet was having issues. they asked me to open my laptop and type "team view" into the run box. i just leaned back and told them straight up they weren’t from TalkTalk, they were scammers and to get their manager on the phone. they said to hold on but as soon as they went quiet, i ended the call. after that, i let TalkTalk know and they advised me just not to answer or if you do, hang up straight away. i found it best to just pick up, put the phone down and then leave it for a while before disconnecting. also, telling them you’re registered blind really throws them off! they get all flustered and don’t know how to react. hope this tip saves anyone from falling for it! Just got a call from someone called "Michael" claiming to be from Microsoft, saying my PC was being accessed from "another location." I decided to play along and asked him for the password. He asked which password, so I told him the one his company is supposed to give to confirm their legitimacy. He went on about having my computer’s number and that it should be enough to prove he was legit. I wasn’t buying it and told him that meant nothing. We kept going back and forth for about ten minutes before I finally ended the call. I then dialled 1471 and got a really odd number on the return. Total scam, no doubt about it. That’s all from me. Got a call from this number claiming to be Microsoft Windows support. They try to convince you to give them access to your computer so they can 'fix' some issue remotely. But really, they're after your emails and other personal info to grab your card details or payment data. Watch out, it's dodgy!

Got a call around half past three this afternoon from a weird number. I didn’t pick up 'cos the number looked dodgy. When I tried to add it to our blocked list with Talk Talk, it wouldn’t go through saying the number was invalid. Really annoying!

Got a call earlier today about some computer care plan. I told them I wasn’t interested and ended the call. Then they rang back asking why I’d cut them off, so I told them again we don’t have any such agreement and hung up once more. They called a third time sounding quite pushy, so I just ended the call straight away. If you have caller ID, I’d say just don’t pick up.

Got a call earlier from someone saying they want support, and they reckon the holocaust didn’t happen, asking me to spread their message. I told them I was busy looking after a fragile elephant and had no cash since Gordon and Ed used it all up.

So, someone rang me yesterday about my phone line, but all I caught was a strong accent (probably Indian?) from this bloke. I had a hard time understanding him and ended up just putting the phone down. Then today, I got another call from 00258900076. Just a heads up, Talk Talk numbers don't begin with 00, so don't get tricked into thinking it's them. A few months back, they called about some broadband issues. I asked them to send me an email instead - still haven’t received anything.

I got a call from this number and some lady was saying I could claim £8000.00 or something like that. I just hung up straight away - total rubbish if you ask me!

At around 10:51am on 29/06/15, I got a call from a woman claiming she was from the UK Government Grants department. She said I’d been given £8,000 which I wouldn’t need to pay back, just because I have a clean criminal record! She said all I had to do was pay my bills and maybe treat myself a bit. Then she asked how I wanted the money sent - bank transfer, Visa, or credit card. I told her, “Why don’t you just donate it to a charity you pick?” She just said, “Oh - thank you, goodbye,” and hung up.

Got a call from someone saying they were from the "UK government," telling me we'd be getting an £8,000 grant that wouldn’t need paying back ever. Sounds dodgy to me.

This morning, I got a call from a woman with an Asian accent claiming it was about government grants. When I asked her who she was trying to reach, she couldn't give me a name and instead asked for mine. I explained that loads of different people live here and she must've dialed the wrong number, then I ended the call. For some reason, telling these callers they’ve got the wrong number seems to throw them off completely!

Some joker called, said they’d sort out my phone line if I just opened up my computer for remote access - as if I’m falling for that!

Got caught in a scam and now these lot have got my phone number. They claimed to be from TalkTalk. Pretty sure they've hacked into my TalkTalk account too. Has anyone tried contacting their customer support? It’s an absolute nightmare.

Got a ring from this number earlier, some bloke was asking for Mr. Thomas. I replied in German just to mess with him, then ended the call. Wondering if they'll try calling again…

They rang me at work this afternoon. I switched it to speaker and acted like I was doing what they said on my computer while I kept busy. The call went on for nearly 15 minutes before they finally gave up. I’m hoping they’ll ring again so I can mess about and keep them chatting for even longer.

About five minutes ago, I picked up the phone and just stayed silent. The person on the other end said 'goodbye' and then ended the call pretty quickly.

This number has rung me loads today, like three times just this morning, and I’ve had quite a few calls before that as well. An Asian guy kept saying he was from Microsoft, saying there was a problem with my laptop. He claimed he was contacting all their customers. When I asked him to prove I was one of them, he gave details of my mother-in-law - who actually passed away back in 2012! I mentioned this to him, but he kept calling me by her name. I told him to remove her info from their records, but he insisted I had to listen to him or my computer would be at risk. I tried to find out where he was calling from because my phone flagged it as an international number, but he wouldn’t say. When I pointed out that the lady they were apparently trying to reach was 76 when she died and had never owned a PC, he just hung up. I’m sure they’ll ring again... Microsoft really should sort this out.

This number called me three times today. At first, the person claimed to be from Windows saying there was some issue with my PC. I told them I use a Mac and just ended the call. Then, only a minute later, they rang back pretending to be from Apple! I couldn't help but laugh and hung up straight away. They called right back again, telling me there was a problem and I was foolish for ignoring them - apparently all I needed to do was switch the computer on. That’s when I warned them I’d report the number to the police and hung up. They've tried twice more since, but I just ignored the calls. Honestly, I wouldn’t trust anything coming from this number. If a big company like Microsoft or Apple had an issue, it’d be all over the news first.

We didn’t get back to this.

Just after 11 this morning, I got a call from a woman and I must admit, I wasn’t very polite.

Got a call from 001019 this morning, 26th Jan 2015, just after 8am. A woman with an accent - sounded like she might be Chinese, Malay, or Filipino - was asking for someone I’ve never heard of. I’ve only had this number for under a month, so I told her she must have the wrong person. But she just started accusing me of lying, telling me she knows who I am and to shut up and hang up. I'm sick of all these nuisance calls on this line lately. How do they keep finding my number?

They tried ringing me earlier but luckily I wasn't home to pick up.

This morning, my elderly cousin who’s in a care home called me, quite distressed. Apparently this number showed up on her phone and she’s shaken because her number isn’t supposed to be public. She knows the care home is secure so she shouldn’t worry, but it’s still worrying for her someone got hold of her contact like that. Could you please let me know what to do next? Thanks a lot. Julia

Got a call today from a bloke claiming to be with BT, wanting to get into my computer. I’d had a similar experience before with an Asian guy who just wouldn’t leave me alone and was quite rude. This time I told him to piss off proper, and thankfully, no more calls since!

I’ve had a few calls where a woman was threatening me or trying to blackmail, just like what’s described here. Strange and unsettling stuff. Anon

Got a call from someone claiming to be TalkTalk, said they wanted to speed up my broadband and even had my email address. I rang TalkTalk to double check and they confirmed it was a scam. Bit worrying really. Also saw ammyy.com mentioned, so watch out for that.

Got a call from 001019, looks like it was from Austria. Didn’t recognise the number so I just let it ring out.

I've been getting calls from this number about 7 times in the past few days and have no idea who it is. Anyone know how I can stop them from calling?

This number has rung me like 7 times over the past few days and honestly, it’s really starting to annoy me!

They keep ringing all day long, just like before. I've just started ignoring them, but it's still pretty annoying.

They said they were Microsoft’s PC care partner, but it felt dodgy to me. They kept asking for a refund or to renew a service, and even wanted me to let them access my computer. This was the first time they actually called themselves PC care - normally they just say Microsoft. Seems like a scam to me.

They just called and only said "bye" before hanging up.
