I got three calls all in one day, the last one was at about 8:15 in the morning. When I told the person about the repeated calls, he actually argued back saying he wasn’t the one who called me three times!

Someone called looking for a lady and they told me a postcode, but it wasn’t mine at all.

Got a call from an Asian lady whose English was really bad, couldn’t understand what the scam was about at all. I asked if she was aware of the ‘telephone preference’ scheme and she just ended the call. Feels like these poor folk are tricked by scammers into doing this rubbish. Still, no excuse for pestering people or taking part in dodgy business.

I got called from this number three separate times on Saturday 20th Feb 2016, first around 10:30am then again later at about 2:45pm.

This guy had a strong asian accent and his english was pretty hard to understand. I couldn’t figure out who he was or what he wanted to talk about, all i caught was him saying something like “preference,” which he actually had to spell out. I just ended up hanging up.

It's only just before 1pm on Christmas Eve and this number has already rung me four times! The first was even before 8 in the morning. Honestly, they should be stopped from calling at all.

When I asked this bloke which company he was calling from and how he even got my phone number, he just snapped back calling me a "bloody idiot" and said he found it "off the street". I didn't hang up like he told me to, since I figured I might as well waste a bit of his time. Then it took a nasty turn - he started threatening me, saying he knew where I lived and I’d notice if he showed up. These scam callers are getting way more aggressive now that their usual tricks aren’t working as well. I’ve reported the whole thing to the police and also informed my phone provider. The call came from some dodgy overseas spoofed number.

So I picked up and just said “hello”, then nothing for a bit. Suddenly a robotic woman’s voice comes on and says “goodbye”, followed by this loud beeping noise. It’s happened a few times now, kinda strange. Makes me think maybe they’re trying to reach my hubby, who’s retired, and I’m guessing they’re waiting for him to pick up.

She seemed to already know our postcode and even asked what age range we were in and if BT was our phone provider, but when we asked who she was or what company she represented, she just wouldn’t say. We decided to just hang up.
