I repeatedly asked them to repeat their questions and expressed my desire to withhold the information they were requesting, but they persisted with their inquiries. Eventually, a female supervisor in the background intervened, and I assume she advised him to hang up, which he did!

This will cause them distress and they will continue to contact you. Once they exceed 10 calls in a week, you have the option to block their number.
