It was clear from the start it was a call centre, and the man on the other end, who sounded Asian, didn’t twig he was actually chatting to my answerphone! He kept asking for my husband, who passed away seven years ago, by the way. He was going on about some laptop issues and said his name was ‘Sam’ - right, like I believed that! Afterwards, quite a few calls from different numbers popped up, all saying they're from some internet service provider, going on about updating my laptop to the newest Windows version and all that.
