I put a new SIM in my phone and started sorting out my mobile plan when I saw the very first bit of data used was a Standard International SMS to 919560345888, which cost me $0.25. The M30 is clearly made for India, Samsung loaded it with apps and settings tailored for Indian users, like that news feed on the Samsung Internet Browser home page you can’t remove unless you use a different browser. Weird thing is, the phone itself doesn’t show any record of this message being sent, only my network provider’s usage details show it. Not a brilliant move, Samsung.

Every time I top up my phone, money just gets taken without my say so. Can you guys just stop all that? It’s really tough trying to add credit when my family doesn’t get how retail money stuff works.
