Since early October I’ve been getting calls on my mobile from a guy asking for donations towards the Police Benevolent Fund. The number’s from Verizon, area code 10154. Quite persistent, too.

Somebody kept ringing me, only to just drop the call right away. It was really annoying!

I gave that number a text, but it didn’t go through. When I rang it, all I got was a busy tone. Did a quick search later and found out loads of people - like 27 - have flagged it as annoying. I’m gonna report it to my phone provider since there’s a new option for reporting spam now.

Somebody rang up saying they were with the “police alliance” and started asking me to hand over money or some kind of donation.
