An hour back this number rang me up saying they’re connected to someone handling Canadian visa stuff and mentioned some fee I needed to pay. I told them to send me proof that they're a legit agent so I can show my bank before giving any money. Now I’m waiting to see if they’ll call again with the info or just disappear.

This number called me claiming to be from USAFIS.org, saying I’d won the Green Card lottery. They asked me loads of questions and seemed to know a lot of private details I had given to USAFIS. I did apply for the Green Card lottery way back in 2006, so some info was probably legit. Then they wanted my credit card info and a payment of $4800 to finish things off. Be careful with calls like this!

It’s definitely a scam, they keep ringing non stop. Plus, they always come up as a private number.

So someone rang me earlier, and when I said there’s no way I’m sharing my card details, the bloke got all offended and went on about it being "security protocol" or something. Then he tried to convince me he wasn’t the dodgy type and offered to send a ‘safe’ link instead. I asked him to send it over, and without another word, he just hung up. Honestly, makes me laugh they still reckon this scam will fool anyone these days...

Don´t fall for this, it´s a total scam. The real USAFIS uses another phone number and an entirely different email. These call you from somewhere in India using a fake number that gets forwarded, so be careful.

Beware, this is a total scam. The real USAFIS never asks for any payments. They actually wanted my credit card info, saying it was to pay for a lawyer handling my situation. When I showed surprise, they just ended the call. Also, the number they called from isn’t even the one listed on their official site. Don’t fall for it or send any cash!
