Haha, after reading all these comments, I feel like everyone else handled it way better than I did. So, I tried signing up on some website to become a Canadian, paid 15 bucks initially. Then outta nowhere, they ring me saying there’s like 3 steps and I owe an extra £1,300 or something crazy. I messed up and gave them my card details including the security code. Luckily, I managed to block the card pretty fast. Now, these scammers keep calling me 5 to 7 times a day, begging for more money, and emails keep flooding in too. They even managed to take £200 from my account through some site called bluesnap.com. Their email address was something like [email protected]. Honestly, I’m just lost and don’t really know what else to do right now.

Got a recorded call from some site based in New York claiming they can sort out either an individual or whole family immigration visa for Canada. They mentioned it'll cost about $600, but honestly, if someone is serious, you can just apply straight through the Canadian government's official website for absolutely nothing. Just another internet scam in my opinion.

This number rang me up at about 12:56 in the afternoon on March 30th, 2017. When I answered with a simple “Hello,” there was silence on the other end. I hung around hoping someone would say something, but just as I thought I heard a faint noise, the line suddenly cut. The weird bit was I couldn’t even make out who was trying to call. It left me feeling pretty uneasy since it was all so odd and unfamiliar.

Just got a call myself from an automated voice claiming to be from the Canadian immigration office. It asked me a few questions, then said if I was still interested, press 1. I did, and then got put through to a guy named Colin. He mentioned I’d supposedly filled out a visa application a few years ago, like 3 or 4, and asked again if I was still interested. But then, right at the end, they want the six digits from my credit card. I told them my card’s expired already, but then they want six digits off my debit card instead. So I rang a bit earlier and got some recorded message about my canadian immigration status or something. Then I was stuck on hold for like 15 minutes, but no one actually came on the line. All I could hear was loads of people chatting away in Bisaya in the background. Eventually, someone picked up and just muttered "hello? hello?" before the call suddenly ended. Such a total waste of time!!!
