Got a call from someone claiming to be from debt assistance. They said I had to pay the first instalment using a GreenDot MoneyPak card. Then they rang again with some story about a federal tax problem freezing my account, so I ended up handing over another £210. They promised me a loan of £3000, paid back at £285 a month for a year. They first said the money went into the account last Friday at 1:30, then changed their story, saying it was sent by FedEx the same day - but still, absolutely nothing arrived. This bloke is taking advantage of people trying to get genuine help and it needs to be stopped.
