I just got a call about some payday loan from like five years back, telling me I owe them cash. They claimed they’d tried to reach me before and even knew my bank and sort code, but it sounds so dodgy to me. Why would they wait all this time just to ring now? They also said they’d take money straight from my wages. Someone’s definitely been doing their homework. The bank they mentioned was Wells Fargo, but I left them ages ago because there was loads of fraud and my account got hacked loads of times, so I shut it down.

So, I received this call claiming I owed some debt on a payday loan from like 5 years back. The person said they’ve been trying to reach me and had my bank and routing details, which sounded off. I’m pretty sure it was a scam, why would they wait years to ring me? They even threatened to take money straight from my wages. Someone definitely did their research because my old bank was Wells Fargo, but I switched from them ages ago because my account kept getting hacked with loads of fraud, so I just shut it down.

Got a call from some investor called Jessica. She rattled off the last 4 digits of my social and was threatening legal action over some old payday loan I barely remember. I got upset and told her I’m a single mum with two kids and can’t afford to go to jail. She didn’t show an ounce of sympathy. Total heartless scammers. Honestly, I’m really grateful to have found this site!

Today I got a call from them saying I supposedly have two claims for check fraud against me. It sounded totally dodgy since I’ve never dealt with anything like that before. I just knew it was some kind of scam!

I got a call from a guy named Scott Freeman who said he was a process server for the County. He told me some paperwork was being sent to my local court and that he had no choice but to press two counts of check fraud against me, even though I had no clue about any of it. He warned I'd be arrested by the County Sheriff either at my job or home just to "sort this out in your County Court." The caller gave me a number, 866-234-7706, and said I had until the end of the day to call him back if I wanted to get the charges dropped. He also gave a case number, 970817, and said his extension was 225. He repeated that if I didn’t speak to him, I'd be arrested anyway. These calls are super stressful, especially since I told them I looked up the laws and they have no right to harass me like this.

Somebody rang me claiming to be officer Diane Sower, saying there was an issue with a payday loan debt. She told me to get in touch with Stanley Roberts on (866) 234-7706. Then, I was also given his direct number, which was (678) 606-9802. They threatened that if I didn’t cough up $932, I’d have a warrant out for my arrest.

Totally a scam, person said they was officer Sara Colmer. I had to call back on 866-689-3807 which is also listed as a scam number. They said there's a court case CA 939 590 from LA county and that if I don't get back in 24 hours they'll send a warrant. Got a voicemail with all this info and felt it was fishy.
