I received a call from a certain number on March 10, 2017, informing me about a scheme for our Tata Sky connection. The person on the call instructed me to recharge our Tata Sky with Rs. 1000 (one-time payment) for a one-year validity. I mentioned that we also have an add-on connection on the same IP, to which he replied that I should recharge for Rs. 2450 (total), also with a one-year validity. He specifically mentioned that the scheme was valid for recharging on March 10 and 11. Following his instructions, I recharged Tata Sky with Rs. 2450, but to my surprise, I received a message from Tata Sky stating that the validity is only until October 2017. I contacted toll-free customer service of Tata Sky on both March 10 and 11, 2017, but their response was not satisfactory.
