The caller, who identified himself as Investigator Lynch from Something-or-Other investigations, kept insisting that he could be in hot water for passing on a message from a concerned father. He wanted me to cough up the early termination fee for a phone belonging to this underage girl I was (apparently) chatting with to get rid of the whole situation. Honestly, it feels like a well-crafted scam aimed at fleecing unsuspecting blokes using dating websites.
