So I looked into it a bit: the number belongs to Monmouth Telephone and Telegraph (732) 704-1000. But it turns out the actual company paying for the line is CTC Telecommunications at (908) 583-1745. I rang CTC to report spam calls from this number, but they weren’t able to tell me who’s renting the line. I warned them I’d report it to the authorities and put their number here so others can complain too. If you’ve had calls from this, maybe try contacting CTC and press them to cut ties with whoever’s behind it.
