12 yearsThese annoying calls come from some sort of call centre in India and Pakistan using VOIP, so there’s not much you can do except ignore them (I get about three a day, know the number straight away now, and just let them go to voicemail where they always hang up). A few years back, a different number kept pestering me until I booked a slot with them. They turned up in a rusty van with no company logo, asked me for a business card, and scrawled their license number on the back. Then I asked for their Municipal Business License, insurance, and bond. Unsurprisingly, they had none, so I told them no way they were allowed on site. I also warned if the calls didn’t stop, I’d give this card to the council and police. They left me alone for a few years until this year. ;-) My advice? Arrange a meeting and do the same - then hand the details over to local authorities.
