Got a call from them saying they tried to deliver some documents but no one answered at the address. Thing is, my mum’s 83 and never leaves the house. Plus, the number showing on my caller ID wasn’t the same as the one they left on the voicemail, and they were telling me to ring them back straight away or else there’d be consequences. On the 7th of August 2017, I got a robocall from 904-559-1620. They said they were trying to reach someone I've never heard of. I hit 1 and ended up talking to a real person, told her the person wasn’t at my number and I didn’t know them at all. She confirmed the number I was calling from and assured me I'd be taken off their list. But by the 11th of August, I had already gotten 9 calls from that same number. I blocked it now, but it still manages to ring once before cutting off.

Got a call from someone claiming they had all my personal info, like my name and social number. I told them to remove me from their list, but they just said it's a legal issue and I could take it to a judge. Said it was some kind of mediation process service. I've dealt with them before and honestly, I'm fed up. We have a no-call list, but it seems pointless. They told me that if the callers are from abroad, there's nothing they can do. So basically, scammers can ring anyone, anywhere, for anything, and complaining does nothing. The no-call list rules really need tightening up so these pests can’t keep bothering regular people day in, day out.

On my answerphone, I found three messages from the same number, all claiming there’s urgent paperwork about pedals they need me to complete with my state, using my name and Social Security number. When I rang them back on 6/05/2017, all I got was a recorded voice saying no one's free to talk, and to leave my details for a callback. I talked to them, got details about the loan and the papers they said they'd sent me, plus the usual threat about them putting a judgment against me in my state. After I calmed down, I went to the local cops, told them what went on and they contacted our county attorney. Strangely, I hadn’t heard a peep from them since then... until today. The same lot ring me up again, this time about an “unclaimed package.” Tried the same scam crap. I took down names again, and the cops are involved once more. These pests won’t get away with it - I’ll see to it.
