9 yearsI received a rather dubious call claiming I was chosen by the government for a grant of £9,200, which I supposedly won’t need to repay. They provided me with a confirmation number and a secondary contact, which just turned out to be a Google Voice number asserting it was the Federal Grants Department! After their spiel, they requested a £200 transfer fee to process the grant. Quite baffling, isn’t it? How can one be asked to pay money in order to receive money that’s supposedly a free grant for low-income households?
